Ella Mayne

Volunteer and Community Events Coordinator

ella@ecodrama.co.uk

Ella is passionate about community development and the role of the arts and nature in facilitating community building and cohesion. She believes in the role of nature and a common goal to bring together diverse communities and build resilience.

Ella has worked in a range of community settings, with families and young people, as well as refugees and asylum seekers and other adult groups. A common thread throughout her work is bringing people together and facilitating conversation. Ella has ran community meals across the city, currently running a meals and food provision service in Govan with Govan Community Project. For her food; what we eat, how we eat, who we eat with, are all part of a wider understanding of sustainability.

Ella joined us in May 2025, and is excited to be working as a freelance Volunteer and Community Events Coordinator for our Pollok Grows Together project, to facilitate group sessions and introducing new volunteers to the amazing work of the team. Having seen first hand the role of the arts in participatory arts projects, Ella feels that this project gives an opportunity to bring these passions for arts and nature together.
