Nature Stories for Children
Suitable for Early Years practitioners and teachers working with children aged 5-11 years, plus educators, parents, carers and families interested in nature themed storytelling with children.
Nature Stories for Children launched in early 2024. The resource pack contains 8 nature themed stories from across the world, a storytelling top tips section for those new to storytelling, or those looking to brush up on their skills, plus suggested activities to complement each story which are practical, easy to deliver and fun. All selected stories have been tried and tested in the Out to Play project by Eco Drama in Scottish schools, and will be a great companion for anyone interested in nurturing a deeper connection to nature with children aged 5-11 years.

Saffron joined the Eco Drama team as a drama artist in 2021, and spent two years delivering the Out to Play project in Glasgow nurseries and primary schools. She is currently taking on the role of Creative Engagement Artist with the company, which includes creating a new nature themed storytelling resource ‘Nature Stories for Children’. This pack draws together some of the best nature stories used throughout her time on the Out to Play project, as well as offering storytelling tips and simple activities to deepen children’s connection to nature.
Saffron has a strong passion for storytelling, particularly working with nature stories from across the world, and loves working outdoors and connecting to nature.
