Drama Artist Saffron Gillies from Eco Drama will be delivering ‘Harvest Stories’ – specially tailored storytelling sessions inspiring children about harvest & Scotland’s rich orchard heritage.
We are excited to be part of this national programme of events, joining in on the efforts to promote a cause we are incredibly passionate about.
It’s been fantastic watching the momentum of the Dandelion project take root across the country this year and seeing the promotion and celebration of growing and harvest. The Unexpected Gardens popping up across Scotland are beautiful, in particular the Caithness Unexpected Garden – Lyth Arts’ curtain-sided lorry which is touring the northern region as an innovative growing, performance and workshop space. We were delighted to be asked by Lyth Arts to create a specially designed session for the Wick & Thurso events, using their travelling garden as inspiration. This commission has been so enjoyable and made us reminisce about our Uprooted & Living Stage project which also featured a ‘travelling garden’. Watch the film here to see what amazing plants the children of Glasgow grew from seed!
