Eco Drama and Blasda

Blasda is a local food feast taking place in Scotland throughout September.  Blasda is gaelic for tasty!  i.e. ‘How about them blasda apples?!’

Eco Drama will be taking part in Blasda with ‘The Forgotten Orchard’ tour, our new play all about food, apples and the environment.  Our Blasda event will take place on the Isle of Eigg on Friday 7th September with the children from Eigg and Muck primary schools and the local community.  The day will kick off with a visit to Eigg’s community orchard and then the performance of ‘The Forgotten Orchard’ taking place in the community hall at 5pm.  After the show there will a be a feast of local apples such as Tam Montgomery, Oslin and Cutler Grieve.

The show will then continue touring to 23 Glasgow primary schools, the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens Apple Days (20th & 21st October), Wester Hailes in Edinburgh for WHALE Arts 20th Anniversary celebration, finishing with performances at the Harbour Arts Centre on the 14th & 15th November.
