Eco Drama are delighted to be announced winners of the Glasgow City Council Environmental Initiative part of the 2016 Evening Times Streets Ahead Awards. We are really excited and proud to have our projects Out to Play and Uprooted recognized and to have been nominated alongside two fantastic initiatives – RSPB Love Nature ‘Giving Nature a Home’ project and re:ply Skateboards.
The awards were held on Wednesday 15th June at the People’s Palace in Glasgow and we were delighted to attend the ceremony with one of our partner schools Corpus Christi Primary, with pupils Matthew, Michael, Daisy and Teacher Tommy Hynes joining in the celebration. Corpus Christi Primary is where the Living Stage from theatre production ‘Uprooted’ was replanted at the end of its tour, transforming a grey metal fenced area of their playground into a unique garden play space.
